Food for Thought:
There are 27 Members of the Will County Board.  Currently, 20 are Republican,
and 7 are Democrats.  AT least 11 votes are needed to support a veto by
Democratic County Executive Larry Walsh.  Without the ability to sustain a Larry
Walsh veto, the Republican majority can literally do whatever it wants, INCLUDING
the ability to redraw the County Board District Map after the 2010 Census has been conducted.  If a veto of any proposed District Map can be sustained, then it will be possible to negotiate a compromise and arrive at a redistricted map that will give
BOTH parties a level playing field for elections to the County Board for the next 10 years.  Please remember this when going to the polls to vote for County Board Members!
